I’m relinking this video for World Water Day (which got the focus of the seven o’clock hour this morning, plus six resources we’re running out of from a really aces article on Cracked. ((Tequila, helium, phosphorus, chocolate, medical isotopes, and yes. horrifyingly, water.))

I made it two years ago, arguing that reproduction won’t actually be a right when we can no longer provide adequate drinking water for earthlings.

It’s terrifying, actually. And way more likely than we let ourselves think. And I don’t think I’m fixin’ to marry Prince William anymore. My sights are set on T. Boone Pickens. After all, he owns all the water up in this joint.

The Edges…

I’ve never not lived on the edge of something. I’ve lived in broadly a dozen places with an untold subset of hathooks therein, and they’ve always been on a coast. Not by design, but by happenstance.

Though I actually can’t imagine anything more claustrophobic than living in the midst. Not having a port, an exit route, a spice tradewind of exodus.

That, and my skin is rather used to the rain. I don’t think I actually have to drink water, I think that I’ve been evolutionarily preconditioned to absorb it like the correct definition of osmosis.

I have the fabled Pacific Northwest gills, and the ability to walk in the rain and not get wet. It’s a heck of a thing to waste your superpowers on, but Aquaman is entirely hot.

Which is, the above to say, it’s raining in Tuscany.
